NewLink Genetics is a biopharmaceutical company located in Ames, Iowa. We are seeking an experienced Clinical DBA/Data Manager to aid in the initial setup, validation, and long-term maintenance of our internal Clinical Data Management System.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to: working with consultants and IT personnel to validate and implement Clintrial™ and set-up studies; CRF development with the Director of Clinical Affairs; Oracle®/Clintrial™ activities for multiple studies; program edit checks; maintain databases; hire and supervision additional data management personnel; develop and enforce Data Management SOP's.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Life/Health Sciences or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years experience in the clinical or pharmaceutical industries, including one year of clinical data management strongly preferred. Reasonable amount of experience with Oracle, as well as SQL, PL/SQL. Preferable experience with R (or SAS) as well as Clintrial™ CDMS. Strong interpersonal skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills are required. The ability to work individually with minimal supervision, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team is needed.
