NewLink Genetics Corp. a biopharmaceutical company in Ames Iowa, developing new therapeutic alternatives for cancer patients, has an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Fellow, in the Tumor Immunology Group. NewLink remains steadfast in its primary focus to take novel treatments and diagnostics through the clinical trials process and bringing products to market.

We seek an outstanding individual to perform the development of immunologic assays to conduct the immuno-monitoring in patients enrolled in NewLink’s Clinical Trials. The individual should be motivated and enthusiastic, have a background in cellular immunology and be proficient in culturing human lymphocytes.

Applicants must possess knowledge in immunologic techniques and have hands on experience in flow cytometry, tissue culture and ELISA. The successful candidate will work with a multidiscipline scientific team providing analytical expertise in support of this company's Tumor Immunology program. S/he will identify appropriate technique(s) and develop methods necessary for the characterization and quantification of the immune reactions induced by current experimental vaccines. Superior problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to independently manage projects within a team environment are required.

Educational Requirements:

PhD/MD in immunology with a strong emphasis in cellular immunology.

Candidates must also have a current work authorization to work in the United States to be considered.
