We have recently filed an IND (Investigational New Drug) Application with the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) to initiate clinical trials with NewLink's small molecules, 1MT lead drug candidate.

1-MT belongs to a noval class of small molecular called, Indoleamine,-2,3-Dioxygenase (IDO) Inhibitors.

We believe this new platform provides NewLink Genetics access to a new set of drugs and provides an opportunity to further diversify its drug development portfolio. We are very excited about this new technology that functions to potentially help the body more effectively fight tumors in combination with existing chemotherapy regimens. Phase-I study in collaboration with NCI is underway. We are also working with multiple investigators from various medical centers on the further development of these drugs.
