D-1MT
D-1MT development status and plan
D-1MT is an orally bioavailable, immunomodulatory agent that targets the IDO pathway. Preclinical experiments in mice demonstrated a strong, synergistic anti-tumor effect (without increased toxicity) when D-1MT was administered in combination with a number of currently available chemotherapeutic agents.
An oral formulation of D-1MT is advancing in two Phase 1 clinical trials designed to evaluate safety. Given its "first-in-class" status, the drug is being administered as a single agent in these initial studies, both of which are open to all patients with solid tumor malignancies. To date the drug has been well tolerated, while at the same time clearly evidencing biological effect. We are highly encouraged by the results so far.
A broad range of potential indications exists for beneficial use of D-1MT, including treatment of many types of cancer in synergistic regimens variously combining D-1MT with cytotoxic chemotherapies, targeted molecular therapies, and other immunotherapies. We are currently developing plans for multiple Phase 2 trials of D-1MT.
